PROGRAMS

Education
  • Programs highlighting Grinnell and Iowa history are presented to the public and student groups of all ages.
  • Annual program for all 3rd graders attending elementary school in Grinnell highlighting the history of Iowa in the 1900's. Students get a tour of the museum and play games popular in the 1900's.

Outreach
  • We provide exhibits in the lobby at Drake Community Library on a quarterly basis.
  • We have exhibits of Spaulding and Laros buggies, a Spaulding car chassis, and Billy Robinson memorabilia on display at the Grinnell City Offices
  • We take exhibits to senior centers for the enjoyment of retirees who are unable to visit the museum.
Research
  • We assist community members and students to conduct historical and genealogical research within Grinnell and Poweshiek County.
